Notions is inspired by the poet Adrienne Rich who wrote: you are taking parts of us into places never planned / you are going far away with pieces of our lives. This series juxtaposes black and white images selected from American Pairs going back to the 1970s with images from more recent travels, in search of ironic notions of existence.
